Frequently asked questions about WY registered agents

What is a registered agent?: A registered agent is a person or company with a street address in the state that is named on the company's public filing to receive legal documents and official notices. Every WY company is required to have one. We provide the address.
Why is your fee nineteen ninety-nine?: We reviewed the fees charged by other WY providers and set ours slightly below the most common one. The one cent difference is intentional. It is the only difference we are able to point to.
Is the office staffed during business hours?: The office is staffed during some business hours. A schedule is not published. If you visit and nobody is present, the office is still the registered office.
How is mail handled at the WY office?: Mail delivered to the office is placed in the file for your company. Forwarding is available on request. Requests are handled in the order received, which is currently the order received.
What happens if a process server visits the office?: If a staff member is present, the documents are accepted and placed in your file. If not, the state's rule for an agent who cannot be found applies. That rule is quoted on the WY page.
Do you provide service in other states?: No. We are a WY registered agent only. Our address is in WY, our filing is in WY and our pricing was set with WY in mind. We have not evaluated other states.
Are there any additional fees?: No. The fee is nineteen ninety-nine per year. There is no setup fee, no forwarding fee and no cancellation fee, because none of those services are currently offered at a price.
Can I get a refund?: Our refund policy is limited to the fees from the three months before the issue arose, which comes to $5.00. Requests are reviewed by the office. The office reviews them when it is staffed.
Can you end my service without asking me?: Yes. Service may be ended at any time, for any reason or for no reason, without notice and without a refund. This is stated in the terms of service and is repeated here for clarity.

Do you form companies or file reports?: No. We provide the registered office address only. Formation documents and yearly reports are filed with the state by the business owner or by another provider.
